A 1,750 metre-long zipline, the longest dual structure of the type in Europe, will be built in western Georgia’s Adjara region, with the regional tourism department revealing the news on October 5.
Set to be constructed on Chikhuri mountain in the highland areas of the Black Sea coastline region’s Shuakhevi municipality, the zipline will be situated 2,000 metres above sea level and create a new tourist attraction in the locality.
The department said while descending by the zipline from an eagle-shaped, 10-metre-long station, visitors would have an opportunity to see the “most beautiful panoramic views” of the mountain.
Adjara’s finance ministry has already announced the tender for the design and construction of the zipline. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
