As many as 87% of Poles feel strongly affected by increased food prices, a survey revealed on August 31.
71% said they were the most hit by rising fuel costs, while 45% named utility costs.
According to the Payback Opinion Poll run by Payback Polska, rising inflation has forced Poles to cut their spending. When asked what expenses they had limited or resigned from, 45% named cinema and restaurants, 36% food, fuel and transport and 31% energy costs.
95% said they feared further price hikes.
The online survey was run from August 22 to 24 on a sample of 1,021 Poles aged 18-65. (The First News/Business World Magazine)
