Georgia exported $439 million worth of goods in June, up by 25% YoY, preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia showed.
The update has not included detailed data on the types of goods exported or re-exported last month, with figures on external merchandise trade to be published on July 19.
Imports grew by 21% and reached $1.04 billion in June.
Overall, Georgian external trade turnover amounted to $8.46 billion in January-June, up by 35.2%, Geostat said.
The value of exports rose by 35.1% and equaled $2.54 billion in the reported period, while imports grew by 35.3%, amounting to $5.91 billion.
Trade deficit reached $3.37 billion, and the share of trade turnover hit 39.8%. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
