Tbilisi City Hall has announced that one-time fare for public transport will be 1 GEL instead of 50 tetri starting next year.
Passengers will be able to choose the plan they want from the payment system.
For a one-time trip, a passenger will have to pay 1 GEL, with which they can use bus, minibus, subway or the Bagebi-Maglivi ropeway for 90 minutes.
If a passenger buys a season ticket, they will no longer pay 80 tetri in a separate minibus and will be able to use any municipal transport.
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said the unlimited ticket system would come into effect from February 1, 2022 in Tbilisi.
Passengers will choose between an unlimited 90-minute card, unlimited one-day card, unlimited one-week card or unlimited one-month card.
An unlimited one-day card will cost 3 GEL. Cardholders will be able to travel by any type of public transport throughout the day.
An unlimited one-week card will cost 20 GEL. Cardholders will be able to travel by any type of public transport throughout the week.
An unlimited one-month card will cost 40 GEL, which will enable passengers to travel by any type of public transport during the whole month.
Season tickets will be sold at express branches of the Bank of Georgia (BOG) and at machines in Tbilisi Metro. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
