Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has inspected the DPKr-3 regional diesel train built this year at PJSC Kryukiv Railway Car Building Works, the President’s Office has reported.
According to the report, the head of state made a test trip on the diesel train on the route from Darnytsia technical station to Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi station.
During a short trip, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at PJSC Kryukiv Railway Car Building Works Volodymyr Prykhodko told Zelensky that the train met Ukrainian and European standards, so if the possibility of exporting such trains was considered, the only issue was the width of the railway track. In addition, the body model is designed in such a way that it is suitable for running on suburban and regional routes, and it is also designed for high platforms.
Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov noted that a total of 20 DPKr-3 diesel trains were to be ordered for JSC Ukrzaliznytsia.
Zelensky tasked a representative of PJSC Kryukiv Railway Car Building Works with offering a format of work in which these 20 trains could be manufactured over the next two years. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
