The Ukrainian Agribusiness Club Association (UCAB) forecasts that this year’s sunflower harvest will reach 15.1 million tons, which is 15% more than last year, according to the association’s press service.
“In the 2020-2021 marketing year, the harvest of sunflowers is expected at the level of 15.1 million tons. This figure is 15% higher than last year and will almost reach the maximum output volume recorded in 2019,” the report says.
The growth is expected due to higher (by 15%) yield compared to last year’s figures, as well as due to an increase in sown areas (by 2%). (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
