The Commercial Court of Kyiv region upheld the claim filed by the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and ordered the Latvia-based airline, Primera Air Nordic, to pay Ukraine a debt of UAH 150,000 (over $5,600) for air navigation services during flights over the Black Sea.
Prosecutors found out during the inquiry that seven foreign air carriers had debts totaling UAH 7 million ($263,000) before the Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise (UkSATSE) for air navigation services provided in Ukraine’s airspace, including over the Black Sea.
In total, as a result of the lawsuits filed, one of the carriers, from the United Arab Emirates, paid in full the debt amounting to UAH 3,719,843 (nearly $140,000), while two other lawsuits submitted by the said Prosecutor’s Office were satisfied by court in the total amount of over UAH 250,000 (almost $9,400).
