Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and his counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis have discussed the future prospects of Georgian-Greek cooperation and the deepening of the bilateral trade-economic ties on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) 76th session in New York.
Garibashvili thanked PM Mitsotakis for his support of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as for his support of the country’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration and for co-authoring and supporting UN resolutions on Georgia.
“It was noted at the meeting that the long-standing historical and cultural ties between Georgia and Greece were based on common European values, respect for the fundamental principles of democracy, freedom and international law,” the Georgian government administration states.
