Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal discussed bilateral cooperation, integration into the European Union and accession to the European energy network ENTSO-E with Prime Minister of Moldova Natalia Gavrilita during a telephone conversation.
The cooperation in the integration of the energy systems of Ukraine and Moldova into the ENTSO-E was as successful as cooperation in ensuring gas transit, Shmyhal stressed.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine congratulated Gavrilita on her appointment and wished success in the implementation of all planned reforms for the benefit of the Moldovan people. He underscored Ukraine’s willingness to work with Moldova on the path towards European integration.
“I believe that bilateral cooperation between our countries has great potential, in particular, in terms of implementation of bilateral projects. We appreciate that the development of cooperation with Ukraine is included in the program of the Government of Moldova as one of the strategic directions,” Shmyhal said.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine expressed hope for a fruitful personal meeting in Chisinau during a working visit to mark the 30th anniversary of Moldova’s independence, in particular, concerning the decision to resume the work of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, as well as other bilateral working bodies and formats, including the Dniester Commission.
