The average nominal salary of Ukrainians in June was 23.6% higher than the one they received in June 2020 and amounted to UAH 14,313, the State Statistics Service reported.
The average nominal salary of a full-time employee of enterprises, institutions and organizations in June was UAH 14,313, or 2.4 times higher than the level of the minimum wage (UAH 6,000). Compared to May, the average nominal salary grew by 6%.
The highest average nominal salary in June was recorded in the field of information and telecommunications – UAH 26,197 (+38.4% YoY). In the second place was the sphere of financial and insurance activities (UAH 22,691, +17.4%) and in third place – the sphere of public administration and defense, compulsory social insurance (UAH 19,868, +21.3%).
The lowest average nominal salary in June was registered in the areas of temporary accommodation and catering (UAH 8,922, +71.3%), administrative and support services (UAH 11,034, +17%) and real estate transactions (UAH 11,208, +27.6%).
According to the State Statistics Service, the average nominal salary in June 2020 amounted to UAH 11,579 in Ukraine, which was 7.4% more than in June 2019. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
