Uzbekistan’s foreign trade during the first five months of 2021 expanded to $14.6 billion, or by 13.2% YoY.
Exports of goods increased by 45.9%, while gold exports dipped by 27.2%.
The export of services amounted to $5.7 billion.
In the reporting period, the country imported $8.8 billion worth of goods, up by $1 billion YoY.
The negative trade balance made up $3.1 billion.
The largest volume of foreign trade turnover was recorded with China (18.4%), the Russian Federation (16.5%), Kazakhstan (10.5%), Turkey (8.9%), the Republic of Korea (4.5%), Kyrgyzstan (2.3%) and Afghanistan (2%).
The share of foreign trade turnover with CIS countries expanded by 1.2%, with their share in total trade turnover amounting to 36.1%. (Uzreport/Business World Magazine)
