The total public and publicly guaranteed debt of Ukraine decreased by UAH 38.68 billion in the hryvnia equivalent over March, to UAH 2.514 trillion, the press service of the Finance Ministry reported.
As of the end of March, the total public and publicly guaranteed debt of Ukraine amounted to UAH 2,514.28 billion in the national currency equivalent ($90.17 billion in the foreign currency equivalent).
Compared to the previous month, the public and publicly guaranteed debt of Ukraine decreased by UAH 38.68 billion in the hryvnia equivalent and by $1.24 billion in the foreign currency equivalent. In particular, the public debt decreased by UAH 28.91 billion in the hryvnia equivalent ($906.4 million) and publicly guaranteed debt by UAH 9.77 billion ($33.4 million).
As of the end of March, the share of public debt in the hryvnia equivalent increased to 39.8%.
In March, the Finance Ministry held 29 auctions for the placement of domestic government bonds and raised UAH 44.4 billion to the state budget. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
