Siemens AG and Stone City (the Netherlands) are planning to modernize four thermal power plants in Tashkent, the German conglomerate has said following a meeting in the Uzbek capital.
The meeting discussed cooperation with the company in the field of energy, in particular, the construction of power plants and thermal stations, as well as the development of hydrogen fuel.
It was noted that a number of ministries and departments of the country were ready to establish relations with Siemens AG on the basis of public-private partnerships. If necessary, service centers would be opened to service German equipment, and local specialists would be trained.
The parties exchanged views on improving energy sustainability, uninterrupted supply of electricity and heat to the population, condition of service facilities and their gradual commissioning in accordance with modern requirements. (Uzreport/Business World Magazine)
