In 2020, Odesa International Airport provided air services to almost 700 thousand passengers, down by 58% YoY, the airport’s press service reported.
“9,332 flights were serviced,” reads the report.
The airport management explained that passenger traffic decreased sharply due to the introduction of quarantine measures in Ukraine to combat the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the same time, Odesa Airport was the first among regional aviation enterprises in the country to resume work after the lockdown. In addition, new flights were launched from Odesa to Bologna, Bergamo, Rome, Dusseldorf, Lviv and Istanbul. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
