Georgia’s external trade turnover amounted to $7.02 billion in January-August, down by 16.7% YoY, showed preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
The value of exports decreased by 14.7% and reached $2.07 billion, while imports decreased by 17.5%, amounting to $4.95 billion.
The trade deficit of Georgia in January-August amounted to $2.88 billion, or 41% of total trade turnover. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
