Milling capacities of Tajikistan are able to fully cover the domestic consumption of flour as well as provide for some export, the Minister of Industry and Innovative Technology, Zarobiddin Fayzullozoda has announced.
He mentioned that the country produced 374.9 thousand tons of flour in January-June, up by 43.1 thousand tons YoY.
“In the reporting period, Tajikistan supplied 466 tons of flour to Afghanistan. Wheat for milling is imported from Russia and Kazakhstan”, the minister said.
In January-June, Tajikistan imported 47.5 thousand tons of flour, up by 22.6 thousand tons, and 498 thousand tons of wheat, down by 49.1 thousand tons. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
