Social Policy Minster Maryna Lazebna states that the average pension in Ukraine has increased to UAH 3,400.
“According to the results of all these programs, the average pension income in the country has already increased to UAH 3,400,” she said at a briefing.
In particular, 10.6 million pensioners and recipients of social benefits, who received pensions and payments in the amount of not more than UAH 5,000, obtained one-time cash assistance worth UAH 1,000.
In addition, in May, the country indexed pension payments for more than 8 million pensioners.
According to Lazebna, an average increase in pension was UAH 260.
She also recalled that since April 1, 1.5 million pensioners over 80 years old had received a monthly increase in pension by an average of UAH 500. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
