Despite the decrease in sugar beet yield, Starokostiantynivcukor LLC processed almost 300 thousand tons of sugar beet during the 2019 production season – 50 thousand tons more than last year.
A’spik Group explains such results with the establishment of partnering relationships with the agricultural enterprises of Khmelnytsk region, which provide the group of companies with raw materials.
“Starokostiantynivcukor LLC works on 80% tolling raw materials, so constructive cooperation with our partners is very important for us, thus Podillya will be able to preserve the traditional agriculture sector of sugar beet growing. That is why each year we discuss a common strategy for sugar beet sowing and harvesting in the format of a mutual dialogue with farmers and agricultural enterprises of the region. We also provide seed and plant protection products to the farmers if it is needed”, says Vasyl Kovbel, Commercial Director of A’spik Group.
This year Starokostiantynivcukor LLC has processed 300 thousand tons of beet and produced almost 50 thousand tons of sugar, up by 13 thousand tons YoY. Moreover, the highest-grade sugar of the first category amounts to 90% of the total production volumes. (Ukrsugar/Business World Magazine)
