In October consumer prices in Ukraine grew by 0.7% MoM, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
“Inflation on the consumer market totaled 0.7% in October against September and 4.2% since the beginning of the year. Core inflation amounted to 0.7% in October against September and 4.1% since the beginning of the year,” reads the report.
Consumer prices rose by 0.7% in October compared to September, by 4.2% compared to December 2018, and by 6.5% compared to October 2018. In January-October inflation on the consumer market stood at 8.6% compared to the relevant period in 2018.
As to the prices for consumer goods and services in October, the largest increase, compared with December 2018, was recorded among the prices for fruit (+25.8%), passenger rail services (+18.8%), and hot water and heating supply (+of 13.9%).
At the same time, in the period from December 2018 to October 2019, the drop was recorded among the prices for natural gas (-28.8%), eggs (-17.2%), fuel and lubricants (-6.8%). (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
