Sumy region has completed harvesting of early grain and leguminous crops, according to the Agricultural and Industrial Development Department of the Sumy Regional State Administration.
“Early harvesting of grain and leguminous crops has been completed in Sumy region. All categories of farms in the region gathered 1.192 million tons of grain, with an average yield of 45.5 hundredweights per hectare,” reads the report.
In particular, farmers of the region harvested 905 tons of winter wheat, threshed 19.6 thousand tons of spring wheat, 8.2 thousand tons of winter barley, 195 thousand tons of spring barley, 16.6 thousand tons of winter rye, 15.6 thousand tons of peas, and 31.7 thousand tons of oats.
Also, 41.4 thousand tons of rapeseed were threshed with an average yield of 29.5 hundredweights per hectare, including winter rapeseed totaling 39.7 thousand tons with an average yield of 30.2 hundredweights per hectare, and spring rapeseed totaling 1.6 thousand tons with an average yield of 18 hundredweights per hectare.
