Riga municipality’s public transport company Rigas satiksme (RS) has announced a personnel selection process to pick the fifth company council member, according to information published in Latvian Herald.
The offered wage is EUR 1,650 before taxes.
The council member is required to have higher education in law, at least Master’s degree or 2nd level vocational education and a degree in law. Contenders also need to have at least five years of experience working in the field of law with focus on private law, specifically commercial law, public law and the management of public limited liability companies. Additionally, candidates are also required to have at least three years of experience working in a managing post or as sworn attorney.
Candidates are also required to have an understanding of operations of RS, function of municipal companies and their management, as well as understanding of corporate management principles.
Contenders also have to have state language command on C1 level and English language command of at least B1, a high sense of responsibility, spotless reputation, good leadership skills, team-leading and management skills, deep analytic thinking, good communication and presentation skills.
Candidates also have to meet requirements of the Law on Governance of Capital Shares of a Public Person and Capital Companies and the Commercial Law.
Council members are provided with authority for five years.
Motivation letters, CVs and visions for RS development perspectives are to be submitted to Riga City Council until August 20.
As previously reported, Normunds Narvaiss was appointed as the head of RS council in the middle of July. Ainars Ozols was appointed as his deputy.
The council consists of car rent company ALD Automotive board member Andrejs Pancenko. A seat in the council is also reserved for RS board member Juris Svanders, but he intends to take it once he steps down from his post as board member. (BNN/Business World Magazine)
