Georgia’s external trade amounted to $4.95 billion in January-May, up by 1% YoY, says the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
In the reporting period the value of Georgian exports increased by 14.2%, to $1.46 billion, while the value of imports decreased by 3.6%, to $3.49 billion.
Georgia’s trade deficit came out to $2.02 billion, which was a 40.8% share of the country’s total trade turnover. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
