In January-September the production volumes of flour in Kazakhstan totaled 3.05 million tons, up by 1.9% YoY, reported the Statistics Committee at the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the announcement, Kostanay region produced the largest volumes of flour – 854.3 thousand tons, or 28% of the total volume, down by 5.6% YoY.
In the reporting period North Kazakhstan region (up by 26.9%), West Kazakhstan region (up by 25.8%), and Almaty region (up by 18.5%) demonstrated the most significant upward trend in flour production. Usually, Akmola region takes place in the TOP-3 of leaders, but since the beginning of the current year the region has produced 309.2 thousand tons of flour only, which remained unchanged compared with three quarters last year.
