Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan has said that the signing of an Agreement on Common Aviation Area (CAA), or “Open Skies”, with the European Commission may take place in the first half of the next year.
He stated this at a joint press conference with Chief Commercial Officer at Ryanair Holdings PLC, David O’Brien.
“We are waiting for the promise of the European Commission be fulfilled regarding the signing of an Open Skies agreement, which is currently restraining Ukraine from full-fledged air service with the cities of the European Union. It is also holding back European companies. But I believe that this long-awaited agreement will be finally signed in the first half of next year,” said Omelyan. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
