On November 14 the first train arrived in Mukachevo from Budapest.
The train is one of those expected to shortly start running along the new route on a regular basis. So far, this is only a dry run along the newly built standard gauge line, the Center for Transport Strategies reported.
The train was operated by Hungary’s MAV-START nemzetkozi utazasok.
Earlier it was announced the price of tickets would start from UAH 700 ($25) to UAH 1,100 ($39).
The Mukachevo-Chop-Budapest train will also run through the Hungarian cities of Debrecen and Nyiregyhaza. The railways are not yet reporting the start of the regular trips. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
