Kyrgyzstan lifted restrictions on the import of poultry and poultry products from Kazakhstan, the State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Safety of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The ban was lifted on the basis of confirmation by Kazakhstan of the results of laboratory tests of the National Reference Center for Veterinary Medicine on the stabilization of the epizootic situation with the highly pathogenic avian influenza in the south of the republic, namely in Almaty region poultry farms (Altyn Kus, Alsad), as well Newcastle disease among the birds in Yeletsky, Aiyrtau district of North Kazakhstan region.
