To the Latvian state budget, a total of 3.8 billion euros have been paid in the first five months of 2018, up by 11% YoY, the Latvian State Revenue Service stated.
According to the calculations by the Latvian tax collector, among the revenue that has contributed the most to the increase, is the company income tax, which, compared to the results in May-June in 2017, has jumped by 24.1% or by 44.2 million euros.
Income from dividends paid by state-capital companies for using public capital surged by 61.8%, to 73.5 million euros.
Income from personal income tax has dropped by 2.6%.
The income in the state social fund from social insurance payments has not risen as planned and is somewhat behind the budget plan, but it is still by 13.5% higher than in the first five months of 2017., the Latvian State Revenue Service calculated. (BNN/Business World Magazine)
