The owner and president of DCH Group Oleksandr Yaroslavsky has submitted a package of documents to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) seeking the approval of the acquisition of Prominvestbank (PIB, Kyiv), Deputy NBU Governor Kateryna Rozhkova has said.
“On December 8 late in the evening the package of documents from Yaroslavsky arrived. Earlier we had only a letter of intent. Several meetings were held. One meeting was held with Yaroslavsky and one with his representatives. We discussed the prospect of the acquisition,” Rozhkova said.
The press service of the central bank reported that on December 8 a package of documents to buy 99.7151% of shares in PIB was submitted.
The press service did not specify the name of the person who submitted the documents, only saying that this was a citizen of Ukraine.
According to the Article 34 of the law on banks and banking operations, the NBU can consider these documents during three months.
As reported, on July 14 the NBU received a letter from the representatives of Yaroslavsky, which expressed the intention to submit to the NBU a package of documents in future to agree on the acquisition of a significant stake in Prominvestbank. (Interfax-Ukraine/Business World Magazine)
