In January-September seaports of Ukraine handled 98 million tons of cargo, up by 1.3% YoY, says press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
Transshipment of export cargo totaled 74.4 million tons (+2.3%), including 29 million tons of grain (+11.2%), 15.5 million tons of ore (-10.4%), 10.1 million tons of mining and metal products (-19.1%) and 4 million tons of vegetable oil (+35.1%); import – 13.9 million tons (+17.3%), including 3.8 million tons of coal (+42.3%) and 575,000 tons of oil products (+29.1%).
Transshipment of transit cargo totaled 8.5 million tons (+4.2%), including 3.2 million tons of coal (up more than 2-fold).
Transshipment of coastal trade cargo amounted to 1.1 million tons (-71%).
The following ports have shown the largest volumes of cargo handling: Yuzhny port – 31.7 million tons (+7%), Odessa – 17.9 million tons (-3.8%), Nikolaev – 17.1 million tons (+6.7%), and Chernomorsk – 12.6 million tons (+8.8%).
