Industrial production in Ukraine in July declined by 2.6% YoY, against a 3.8% rise in June and a 1.2% rise in May, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine has said.
The authority said that this was linked to a decline in mining and quarry development industry by 9.4%, a 10.2% decrease in the supply of electricity, gas, steam and conditioned air, while processing industry saw a 2.5% rise.
With adjustment for the effect of calendar days, industrial production in July decreased by 2.2% YoY.
Industrial production in July grew by 0.3% MoM, a seasonally adjusted decline was 1.3%, the State Statistics Service said.
In January-July industrial production in Ukraine decreased by 0.7% YoY. A decline of 6.5% was recorded in mining industry and quarry development, a fall of 6.3% in the supply of electricity, gas, steam and conditioned air, and a 3.5% rise in processing industry.
As reported, industrial production in Ukraine in 2016 grew by 2.4% after a four-year decline: in 2015 it fell by 13%, in 2014 by 10.1%, in 2013 by 4.3%, and in 2012 by 0.7%. (Interfax-Ukraine/Business World Magazine)
