The trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan increased 1.8-fold YoY in the first quarter of 2017, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov said at a meeting of the intergovernmental commission for bilateral cooperation, delimitation and demarcation of the border.
According to him, Kyrgyzstan is ready to import from Uzbekistan mineral resources, cotton raw materials, automotive products, medical products and preparations.
“In turn, Kyrgyzstan is ready to export food and processing industry products, meat and dairy products, textiles and other goods,” the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan said.
As he noted, for the implementation of trade and economic plans, active work on removing of existing barriers and restrictions was needed. The prime minister noted the interest of the country in the development of road, air and rail traffic and tourism. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
