According to the Ag Ministry of Kazakhstan, the country exported 444.2 KMT of grain in May, up by 25.8% YoY. At the same time, flour exports totaled 153.9 KMT, down by 11.3% YoY (173.5 KMT).
In 2017, Kazakh flour and grain exports lag behind last year. Kazakhstan shipped abroad 2114.6 KMT of grains for the five months of the current season (January-May), or down by 9.1% YoY. Flour exports in the reporting period dropped by 15%, to 756.6 KMT against 889.6 KMT in 2016.
In addition, the Kazakh Agriculture Ministry says 203.1 KMT of grain and 93.8 KMT of flour were exported on June 1-20. (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
