Retail trade in Ukraine in January-Apri posted a 5.8% increase YoY, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
The highest increase in retail trade was recorded in Kirovohrad, Lviv, Poltava, Odessa, and Zhytomyr regions. In particular, Kirovohrad region saw a 9.3% increase, Lviv region boosted retail trade by 9.2%. Retail growth in Poltava region was 8.4%, that in Odessa region and Zhytomyr region was 7.9% and 7.7%, respectively.
The State Statistics Service did not provide data in monetary terms.
Retail trade in Ukraine in January-March grew by 3.1% YoY. Retail trade in 2016 rose by 3.7% YoY, to UAH 1.159 trillion, or $44 billion, in comparable prices. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
