As of March 1, the registered carry-over stocks of grains and pulses in Kazakhstan totaled 11.735 million tons, the Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported on March 21.
In particular, peasant and farming households stored 2.483 million tons of grains.
Wheat formed the major share of the general grain stocks – 9.7 million tons, including 7.726 million tons of milling wheat, 550.41 thousand tons of feed wheat, and 1.433 million tons of wheat for seeds.
Corn stocks totaled 107.09 thousand tons, rice – 208.82 thousand tons, barley – 1.186 million tons, rye – 26.13 thousand tons, oats – 177.83 thousand tons, buckwheat – 46.61 thousand tons, millet – 30.32 thousand tons, and mixture of spiked grain crops – 99.15 thousand tons.
