Labor minister A. Abduhakimov received the World Bank mission, led by Afrah al-Ahmadi, senior specialist on private sector Christopher David Miller, senior economists of the World Bank Mohamed Ihsan Ajwad and Oleksiy Sluchinskiy.
The purpose of the meeting was extensive consultation on the concept, scope and content of the components of the project initiated by the Labor Ministry on financing the development of professional skills of citizens in the conduct of business, improvement of access to financial and non-financial services for small and medium-sized enterprises, improving the work of employment services of the Labor Ministry.
Labor Minister briefed the guests on the latest trends and measures taken for stimulating the development of small business and private entrepreneurship in the Republic, employment and professional retraining of the unemployed.
In turn, the World Bank delegation expressing gratitude for the cooperation and hospitality noted that they see and appreciate the changes taking place in the country, particularly in the development of small and medium-sized businesses and creating more jobs. (UzReport/Business World Magazine)
