In 2016 Ukraine exported 4.8 million tons of barley, up by 170 thousand tons YoY, the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine reported.
Barley export declined in monetary terms to $665.94 million against $768.77 million in 2015. Saudi Arabia imported the grain at the sum of $279.68 million, Libya – $110.68 million, and China – $41.55 million.
Ukraine produced 9.4 million tons of barley in 2016, with the average yield at 3.3 ton/ha. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
