Inflation rate in Kazakhstan hit 8.5% in January-December 2016, Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan reported.
Food prices have increased by 9.7%, non-food items’ prices have gone up by 9.5%, and paid services’ prices have increased by 6.1% since early 2016.
In December 2016 the inflation rate was 0.9%. Food prices have increased by 1.7%, non-food items’ prices have gone up by 0.8%, and paid services’ prices have increased by 0.2% in December 2016 compared to November 2016. (Trend/Business World Magazine)
