Low marginality of flour production does not allow Ukrainian companies-processors to realize significant investments in reconstruction of their enterprises, and denies the opportunity to improve qualitative characteristics of the final product, and reduce its production costs, the co-owner of the group of companies Ukr-Agro-Product LLC, Khlebodar and GFS Group Boris Shestopalov declared.
According to him, to date it is a kind of “vicious circle” where Ukrainian flour millers are working.
But it is necessary to realize that in the best case, the technical equipment at the level of 1970s will not allow working for more than 15 years. And market participants have to do everything to upgrade their production opportunities, the expert said. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
