The government of Ukraine plans to conclude a revised Agreement on Mutual Promotion and Protection of Investments with the government of Turkey, the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine reports.
“We’ve agreed with the Turkish side on the main provisions of the draft agreement, which foresees the most-favored procedure for investors of both countries with regard to investment disposal; strengthening safeguard guarantees against illegal expropriation and nationalization of investments; the free transfer of payments and securing of internationally recognized procedures for the settlement of investment disputes between investors of our countries”, Oleksiy Perevezentsev, the Director of the Judicial Department at the Economic Development Ministry, said.
According to the ministry, the delegation of the Ukrainian government has already conducted negotiations with representatives of the government of Turkey regarding the conclusion of the revised Agreement on Mutual Promotion and Protection of Investments. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
