Azovmash Group and Kryukovsky Railway Car Building Works (KRCBW) are in talks with PJSC State Food Grain Corporation of Ukraine (SFGCU) about the possibility of building grain railcars for the corporation.
According to a top manager of the company, 300-500 railcars are in question for now. Overall, the company is considering a project for building roughly 3,000 railcars, but it has to be approved by China’s CCEC.
The company is also investigating the possibility to construct another port terminal in the port of Chornomorsk (former Illichivsk).
This project was reviewed in 2013-2014. There are 13 ha of land, good infrastructure, a terminal with a handling capacity of some 5 MMT can be built there, and the storage capacity can be about 300 KMT.
