Britain’s Crown Agents has signed an agreement with Ukraine’s Health Ministry for 10 medicine procurement programs using 2016 budget funds.
Crown Agents said in a press release that the agency would procure medicines and medical products worth 932.22 million UAH for the ministry.
At present, Crown Agents has signed agreement to procure medicines to treat patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases (357.222 million UAH) and procure prosthetic implants and implantation tools (44.886 million UAH).
Contraceptives for women with serious diseases will be procured under the reproductive health program (1.238 million UAH), medicines used to provide first aid to people bleeding (16.625 million UAH) and medicines to treat neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (51.116 million UAH).
Crown Agents will procure medicines and consumable materials for child dialysis (35.591 million UAH), medicines and medical products to develop blood donation (160.915 million UAH), consumable materials for peritoneal dialysis (143.795 million UAH), consumable materials for blood glucose and glycated hemoglobin tests (19.740 million UAH) and HIV tests (101.092 million UAH).
The first procurement agreement under two programs using 2016 budget funds was signed by Crown Agents on October 27. On December 1, the agency signed an expanded agreement to procure under two more programs. In the middle of December it is planned to sign an expanded agreement under one more additional program.
