Ukrainians in October 2016 sold to banks $113.9 million more foreign currency than bought, according to the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
According to the regulator, this is $169.5 million, or 60% less than in the previous month.
The volume of foreign currency sales by the public in October decreased by 48.7%, to $179 million, purchases – by 0.3%, to $65.1 million.
In 2015 Ukrainians sold to banks $1.55 billion more foreign currency than bought, and in 2014 a total of $5.61 billion was sold and $8.02 billion was bought. (Interfax/Business World Magazine)
