Lawmakers of Kyiv City Council have revised the budget and the city’s social and economic development program for 2016.
The press service of Kyiv City Administration reported that in January-September the budget received 27.8 billion UAH, and this was 118% of the target. Kyiv received additional 4.3 billion UAH.
“Kyiv City Council sent 280 million UAH to buy apartments for anti-terrorist operation (ATO) participants, members of the Heavenly Hundred heroes’ families and persons suffered from Chornobyl disaster. A total of 265 apartments with a gross area of almost 18,000 square meters will be bought”, the press service said.
In addition, 15 million UAH was sent to buy 10 specialized vehicles for people with disabilities.
Additional funds were provided for transport infrastructure. 18 million UAH will be sent to design the subway line to Vynohradar residential area in Kyiv and 68 million UAH to build a road from Chervonozoriany Avenue to the Kyiv (Zhuliany) airport. Some 48 buses, 40 trolleybuses and eight tram wagons will be bought.
The city budget was changed. Additional funds were sent for social protection of Kyiv residents, education, culture and arts.
The security system will be financed, too. 30 million UAH will be allocated for this purpose. (Interfax/Business World Magazine)
