According to the State Statistics Service, in January-September India imported the largest volumes of Ukrainian agricultural food products in monetary terms – more than 9% of the general export volumes (valued at $959 million), the Deputy Director on scientific work at the National Scientific Center “Institute of agrarian economy” Nikolai Pugachev declared.
According to him, the following countries also purchased significant volumes of agricultural products from Ukraine: Egypt ($854 million), China ($833 million), Spain ($579 million), the Netherlands ($518 million), Italy ($443 million), and Turkey ($412 million). The reporting countries covered nearly 44% of the value of Ukrainian agricultural exports.
Pugachev specified that grains (corn, wheat and barley), soybeans and rapeseed, sunflower oil and other agricultural by-products dominated in the commodity structure of Ukrainian agricultural exports. Their share in the agri-food exports totals almost 90%. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
