In August sunoil exports were 258 KMT. In July Ukraine exported 353 KMT and in August 2015 – 224 KMT. Total sunoil export volumes in 2015/2016 were 4478 KMT compared to 3870 KMT in 2014/2015, which is a new record.
EU countries remain among the key importers of Ukrainian sunoil (about 32% of all exports), having slightly ousted India (31.6%). Considerable volumes are shipped to China (14%) and Turkey (4%). Record high exports were seen in 2015/2016 not only because of higher demand on existing export markets, but also due to their diversification, mainly at the expense of Africa and Middle East.
Considering sunseed production and crush forecasts for 2016/2017 MY, analysts expects sunoil exports to reach a new record – 5170 KMT. (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
