The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine supports cancellation of price controls for food products, including grain by-products, the Director of the food products department at the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Moroz declared.
According to him, the Ministry provides the reporting cancellation of price regulation as an experiment. If in three months the experimental project makes a good showing, the Ministry will completely abolish any price regulation for grain by-products in Ukraine.
Also, Moroz informed that PJSC Agrarian Fund worked out a draft law on state regulation, providing changes to the mechanism of public purchasing intervention. The special intervention operator, authorized by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, will receive the reporting function.
In addition, Moroz said that since September 2017 all processing enterprises of the agricultural sector would have to establish the quality control system based on HACCP requirements. The State Service on Food Safety and Consumers Protection will remain the single supervisory authority in the market segment. All companies will work with the specifications and technical regulations, approved at the Ministry level and the Cabinet of Ministers. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
