As of September 19, grains and pulses had been harvested from 10329 thousand ha (72% of the intended area) compared with 10832 thousand ha as of September 21, 2015. Farmers obtained 40.537 MMT with the average yields at 3.92 MT/ha (on the same date in 2015 – 39.295 MMT with the average productivity of 3.63 MT/ha).
386 thousand ha of corn was threshed and 1798 KMT obtained with the average yield of 4.66 MT/ha. As of September 21, 2015 387 thousand ha had been threshed and 1702 KMT obtained with the average yield of 4.4 MT/ha.
Buckwheat was harvested from 122 thousand ha (81%), 156 KMT obtained with the average yield of 1.28 MT/ha (1.18 MT/ha last year). 171 KMT of millet was harvested from 94 thousand ha (91% of the intended area) with the average yield of 1.83 MT/ha. As of September 21, 2015 nearly 196 KMT of millet had been gathered from 98 thousand ha with the average yield of 2.01 MT/ha.
Ukraine continues sowing winter grains. As of September 19, winter crops had been sown at 1184 thousand ha, or 16% of the forecast area – 7374 thousand ha. This included 1119 thousand ha of winter wheat and triticale (18% from the planned 6198 thousand ha), 44 thousand ha of rye (30% of 147 thousand ha), 20 thousand ha of barley (2% of 1028 thousand ha).
