Winter crops sowing has begun in Ukraine. Agricultural enterprises plan to seed winter crops on 8098 thousand ha, including 7374 thousand ha with grain crops.
Thus, sowing plans are very similar to last year’s in almost all parameters. The question, whether farmers will realize their intention, is open.
UkrAgroConsult believes that one of the important factors is the availability of material and technical resources. Average cost of autumn sowing campaign will increase by 11% YoY, while the rise in grain prices during the same period amounted to 31%, rapeseed – 42%. In other words, price surge for material and technical resources should not serve as an obstacle to seeding plans implementation.
