According to official data, as of September 2, Russian farmers had threshed 33.26 million ha (70.4%) of grains and legumes against 27.66 million ha as of the same date in 2015. 93.41 MMT was harvested with average yield of 2.81 MT/ha (in 2015 – 73.05 MMT with 2.64 MT/ha).
Wheat was threshed from 20.45 million ha (73.8%) against 16.8 million ha. Farmers gathered 64.53 MMT with average yield at 3.16 MT/ha (2.96 MT/ha in 2015).
Barley was harvested from 7.1 million ha (85%). Gross production reached 17.11 MMT, and the average yield was 2.41 MT/ha (2.36 MT/ha in 2015).
Corn was harvested from 37.4 thousand ha (1.3%) against 106.9 thousand ha as of the same date in 2015. Farmers gathered 193.7 KMT with average yield at 5.18 MT/ha (4.87 MT/ha in 2015). (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
