According to official data, as of August 19, Russian farmers have threshed 24.4 million ha (51.7%) of grains and legumes against 21.5 million ha as of the same date in 2015. 77.4 MMT was harvested with average yield of 3.17 MT/ha (in 2015 – 61.4 MMT with 2.85 MT/ha).
Wheat was threshed from 15.1 million ha (54.4%) against 13.9 million ha. Farmers gathered 53.5 MMT with average yield at 3.55 MT/ha (3.18 MT/ha in 2015).
Barley was harvested from 5.3 million ha (63.6%). Gross production reached 13.63 MMT, and the average yield was 2.56 MT/ha (2.46 MT/ ha in 2015). (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
